Great find in Sheffield city centre! Service was friendly and efficient, and price was value for money. The claypot style rice was delicious, the rice itself was very well cooked and the salted fish pork belly that I had with it was succulent. The chilli oil condiment on the side is really good, spicy but addictive. The highlight for me was the variety of soups they have, which are double-boiled, bringing out the flavour of the ingredients. You can tell it's cooked properly, as the pork ribs in the soup I had was so pink and tender it came off the bone. I have not had these flavours of home in awhile and really enjoyed it. I've been here with my family quite a few times. The first time we visited Bobo Express I fell in love with their claypot rice and vegetables. Before ordering anything I was a bit anxious because I was not sure if I could expect them to offer me any vegan options. But despite their immense menu the cooks were open to any ideas of dishes that would suit me best. I got a fresh and delicious combination of mushrooms and vegetables with hot rice and that was exactly what I needed that day. On my next visits I wasn't dissapointed. Not even worthy of a 1 star. Customer service was non existent. They add a 5% service charge but only give certain customers full equipment to eat with. Not once did we get a check back on our food and because of this we couldn’t express our dislike and poor quality of the food provided. We both ordered dumplings 1 steamed and 1 fried. The steamed dumplings were more boiled and were drowning in water and were soggy. Flavour wise I must commend the seasoning. The fried dumplings were burnt and crisp and not pleasant to eat at all. Overall I did not enjoy my time at Bobo Express nor would I recommend to anyone wanting a decent meal worth the price
I personally love claypot rice and have tried many in Sheffield and throughout the UK. In my opinion, this restaurant serves the best claypot rice I have ever had in the UK. I sampled a few claypots and some side dishes with my wife, and we both found the food to be excellent and comparable to what we've had in Asia. The rice is freshly cooked and the portion sizes are just right. The dishes also seem healthy. The prices for the claypot dishes are affordable, especially considering the location. I highly recommend the mini rib claypot rice, which is my favorite. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is spacious.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant after seeing the appetizing dumplings on Deliveroo. However, the dumplings I received looked nothing like the picture and did not taste great. We also ordered two clay pot dishes, with me choosing the beef ribs in garlic. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a plate of bland cooked white rice with a few small, mostly fatty and inedible ribs on top. My girlfriend enjoyed her noodles in black bean sauce, but based on my disappointing dish, I would never dine here again.
We've had food delivered to us several times and it has been delicious. The dumplings taste fresh and well flavoured. The 2 claypots were also delicious however the quantity of the dish was disappointing considering we paid £9.50 for each. The ingredients were thinly sliced and there wasn't much rice. It was highlighted by a few of my friends too. If this could improve it will be 5/5.
I ordered a takeaway tonight and the quality of the food was below average. The meat on the claypot rice was minimal and the food does not take fresh. The chicken and eel were mushy and did not seem fresh at all. I would not order from it again based on this experience
I ordered Beef,chicken and spare ribs. It came on a bed of boiled rice with a few thinly sliced mushrooms. It was tastless, very small portions of meat, the spare ribs were about 3/4 of an inch long and had no meat on them, very dissapointing and would not go back.

I ordered takeout for two and it was absolutely delicious. The bang bang chicken, minced pork and pickled vegetable rice clay pot, and pan fried dumplings were especially fantastic. Much better than your typical takeout! Plus, it arrived very quickly. Thank you!
