We've always loved Bocca, and my wife and I often dine there. We love the atmosphere, the food, the cocktails and the service was usually very good and attentive. We had dinner with our son last night at Bocca and we were disappointed. All the elements of the experience were missing. We were not on a good table, our cocktails were not as good as usual, and the food was like that. The server was pleasant enough, but unattended. Cocktails were slowly coming from the bar, which can be understandable at a busy night, but also our water glasses went completely empty several times during our meal. After the initial casting of wine from the bottle we had to pour it ourselves. Overall, we paid $360...
Our server, Taylor, was excellent in his service and recommendations. Our first experience in Bocca and we will definitely be back.
Pasta is fresh and super aromatic! Wine card is excellent. The best restaurant in Birmingham
