I finally made my way over to check out Bodega Tapas Wine Bar by SABOR. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The food were excellent, the wine was divine, and the service exceptional and friendly. Ahi Tuna salad The tuna was fresh and delicious, the cucumber and green salad was delicious, with a twist of curry in the sauce. I visited this restaurant while in Edmonton for a work trip, and I had mixed feelings about the experience. Some dishes stood out, like the amazing scallops, Caesar salad, and calamari, which were all delicious. However, there were definite misses as well. The meatballs were excessively salty, to the point where we had to send them back, and the flourless chocolate cake (which is gluten-free) was incredibly dry. While I appreciate that it’s gluten-free, I’ve had rich, moist gluten-free cakes before, so this was disappointing. Bodega always impresses! One of our party has gluten intolerance and dairy allergy, and these guys understand how to ensure a safe and tasty meal.We just had tapas, but each was fantastic grilled octopus, scallops, and huge shrimp were all gluten and dairy free. We also had Portuguese bread and a mixed mushroom dish that were incredible!We’ve been to Bodega and Sabor a number of times, and will definitely continue to return. Book a table now
Never coming back to this restaurant. Found a huge lettuce bug in our dish crawling around. Check your food before you eat it. All the restaurant did was take the plate away did not even offer to comp anything. Worst experience ever. Immediately lost my appetite and couldn't finish with the rest of dinner. Didn't even bother taking the left overs. If I could rate this zero stars I would.
We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. Our server, Dan, was truly delightful. His parents must be very proud of him! He served us with a constant smile and made us feel at ease throughout our meal. Vegetarian options are available, and there are also gluten-free choices for those with dietary restrictions.
Food was absolutely delish! but the Server was OUT OF THIS WORLD seriously if you come here request to be served by Bella. She went above and beyond for my table and her banter is quite amusing. I would definitely come back this place is superb !
