WOW! BEST restaurant in Montreal barr-none! So wonderful!!! No surprise that they usually win the top 100 restaurants in the country award! What a special evening! We loved the tasting menu wine pairing for my husband’s birthday! We will return to visit Montreal especially to have dinner here at Restaurant Bonaparte! OUTSTANDING French cuisine, delicious thoughtful wine pairings with the most incredible staff! Server Frederick (also the sommelier) made this exceptional!
We wanted to treat ourselves, so we went to Bonaparte and ordered the tasting menu. A little bit of everything for $124 each!The staff were very attentive. I enjoyed the service very much. The food was also very good... but not to the level I would have expected for paying so much. The presentation was beautifulbut in some cases, the flavor was just okay.In the end, I enjoyed the time with my wife. It was worth doing (once every 5 years or so... lol)
Traditional French cuisine done well. Had the potage des legumes (vegetable soup), the magret de canard with maple syrup sauce and the souffle with calvados. All these were excellent and gastronomique level. I sat at the bar, and the active bartender kept all his customers satisfied and entertained throughout. One of the pricier places in the touristy center, but well worth the price.
My husband and I tried Bonaparte while vacationing in Montreal. Had wonderful cocktails and started with duck fois gras and creme brulee. We had the duck breast and lamb shank. For dessert we had the blueberry cheesecake. Everything was simply incredible! Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and can't wait to go back for the rest of the items I wanted to order! Amazing delicious french food, was invited and treated by a friend so I can't speak for the value for its price. They didn't come around for drinks while we waited for everyone to be there which was about an hour( private dining room).Only wished that a server would have come once every 10 or 15 minutes to offer water or drinks, otherwise it was perfect

We had the dégustation menu, which was lovely and perfect if you’re wanting to get a little taste of everything. The staff were kind and attentive, and the food service was well timed! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here :

The food and service here were phenomenal! The 6 course dinner was delicious and my server explained each dish. I paired some wine with my dinner which was excellent. I plan to go back and enjoy it again!
