Went to visit Botavara for a light meal at 8.40 pm tonight. Our group of 5 were seated quickly. However we did notice that no one was eating at the other tables. They took our order and brought the wine and water to the table and patatas bravas I would like to mention that these are the freezer version and definitely not home made). We waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, then got the attention of a waiter and questioned him on the order, he mentioned problems in the kitchen, then we waited some more, then they served another table and continued to seat more people, still no food, we complained, and after 2 hours someone else’s sandwiches came to our table. A group of us came here to eat as we thought it looked like a nice place on the beachfront. Unless you like your beef mooing I would not recommend coming here. We ordered burgers which were raw inside, even after sending them back to be recooked. We were told we must still pay for the burgers and that is just “how we cook burgers in Spain”. After a lot of debating we managed to get a refund but I would never return again after such an awful experience. The customer service was also appalling our friend was refused a beer because we had complained about our food and we received no apologies for the state of the food nor did the staff smile once during the service. We were for the first time three people, a few days ago, and we loved it, the sandwiches and very rich snacks, the tapas too. the waiters who attended us very nice, fast service and with spectacular views on the terrace... we will definitely return.
very good location. one of the best places to have breakfast or lunch at the benicàssim beach in the surroundings. that pity they do not strive more in the quality of the food incorporating some fresh product.
