"The food was amazing. The beignets were light and fluffy. The beef rib just fell off the bone. The paired cocktails are worth it! Very friendly and helpful staff. It should be your first point of eating at Southbank."

Out at South Bank and looking for a random meal we thought about Bourbon Street because of our love of all things American. The menu content was as expected and looked great, and the beverage list looked good although the prices a little extreme. When did 11 to 14 dollars for an imported beer become the norm?? Mind you, the Sharkinator pale ale was great, I do love good American boutique beers. The Chicken wings were nice but I wished there were the spicy wings with blue cheese sauce on the menu. The service was a little disappointing and the awareness of staff was a little off unless you needed a water top up. I think they could do with less time refilling water and more attention on drinks...

A restaurant with some real potential so I won't be harsh. The decor is just perfect for the food they're serving and the live piano music was wonderful to accompany the meal. Ordered the jambalaya, which had a lovely authentic flavour - only one problem - rice was a bit undercooked. It didn't ruin the experience, but properly cooked rice would have definitely gotten this a better rating. It also at least assured me that the food is freshly prepared. Portion size is a little small for the price. I would like to see this place do well - nice to have an option for some Southern US type food.

This is a solid option at South Bank. The decor and ambience is lovely and intimate. Service is great, particularly from a man who I assume is the manager. The food is solid. Not particularly fabulous, but well cooked and well priced for this area. I had the short rib, which certainly came away from the bone, and some well cooked shoestring fries. Carb fest! If you're in South Bank and want comfort food and comfortable decor, this is a great choice. Book a table now

We had dinner here as a group and although the menu looked appealing, unfortunately the food didn't quite deliver. Whilst most of our meals were ok, they were a bit one dimensional with smaller than expected serving sizes for the price. There was also a mix up with the degree of doneness of the steak, which they attempted to correct but still didn't get quite right. Service was friendly but a little confused. Overall an ok experience.

I can't rate this highly enough. The best pork belly I've ever eaten. Delicious fried chicken, mac and cheese and gumbo as well. Lovely service and cocktails were delicious. Can't fault anything. One of the best meals I've had at a restaurant. Would recommend this place to my great aunt's dog's goldfish's second cousin. Go and eat there!!

The food was very disappointing. I had 1kg chilli Mussels, the broth was cold, there was no spice and the bread to dip in the broth was stale. My husband ordered a Scotch fillet medium, and received it still mooing. The food was pretty pricey. Cocktails are amazing though, and the staff were polite.

Food was pretty good but the blonde waitress decided she'd had enough of serving around 9:45, would have spent way more and had a much better night if it wasn't for the ordinary service. Could be a great spot but I won't be back due to staff who are clearly indifferent to the guests. Book a table now

We really like this place. We don't usually eat American but we were really surprised by how good the food is and the service was good too. We have been back since the first time and all the things we have ordered are good! It's good value as well.
