The food was delicious. The service was very underwhelming. The staff in general was not friendly, which I had read in previous reviews from other patrons. Out waitress was less than attentive, and when it came time to pay she tossed the check and our to go box on the table and left without saying a word to us. No “thank you for coming” nothing. We even passed her on the way out and she didn’t say a word to us. It would have been a fantastic experience had the wait staff been more friendly. Otherwise, the food and drinks were great.
Sadly very underwhelming. Service was slow, mussels were okay (Volare is much better), burger and shrimp/grits were good, and the goat cheesecake is very misleading. More of a sponge cake with a goat cheese spread on the side. Put notes down it was our anniversary and didn’t even acknowledge it. Would pop in to sit at the bar to have a drink and eat the burger again but definitely wouldn’t plan a multiple course meal here again. Overall, not sure I’ll be back.
This is where you need to go for a great meal, excellent service, amazing bourbon selection. We had party of 8 loud middle age guys and we were welcomed by the locals at this little establishment. Greeted, served and dined in excellence. Met owner and chef. Really superb meal had by all and that includes the full experience. Can’t wait to eat here again.
This was our second time here. We will be back. The food is excellent. I had the summer salad with salmon and loved it. My husband had the pork chop and substituted grits for the mashed potatoes. He couldn’t stop talking about this dish. Happy hour is only for the bar area not the dining room, just fyi.

The Black Manhattan cocktail was great. The menu offered great food, enjoyed the salmon and stake frites and shared burrata, but the options are limited. Service was nothing to write home about, but server was nice.
We stopped in for dessert. The bread pudding is fantastic. Service is very friendly. We plan to return to have dinner in the future.
One of the best restaurants in Louisville, the food is delicious and the cocktails are not far behind. I will definitely return.
