My husband and I are native New Yorker?s and while on the last leg of our vacation road trip, I reached out to my brother in law who is a native to Maryland and always brought me and my family these amazing crab cakes, but I could not remember where they were from, he told us the location and we made it the final pit stop of our trip! Well, let me tell you, this was the perfect final dinner for our little summer vacation and road trip ! The best note to end on! My husband was in absolute heaven trying their crab cakes! He is a foodie and grew up with an Executive Greek Chef for a Father, and has extremely high standards for food in general and especially for seafood....
We stopped in to Boxhill Pizzeria Crab Cakes for dinner and were completely satisfied. We got 2 orders of the 8oz Crab Cake Platter, the Hot Roast Beef, and the Fried Shrimp Platter. Garlic bread was brought out for the table. The crabcakes lived upto their reputation as being some of the best I?ve had. Great size and little filler served with tarter and cocktail sauce. Itcame with fries that were cooked well and a sweet tasting coleslaw. Always my GO-TO when it comes to crabcakes. Worth every penny. Big, filling and hefty and the best words to describe it. I 've been going here for years but this was the first time I had their carrot cake and lemon berry cake. Now, I 'm not a big fan of whole fruits in my desserts but even with me taking out the berries the flavor was still infused from just being in it. You should really try it. A friend of mine gets their Canoli 's and raves about it. They have really good pizza, big slices, food is fresh, the dining room is clean and the staff is wonderful. In the 15 or so years since the last time I visited I have never eaten a better crab cake. They are some of the best!!! Amazing lump crab cakes. The 8oz is massive and almost all meat. Service is super friendly and fast. Everything was very clean andgreat outdoor seating. Check out their desserts.
I did not partake in their crab cakes, but my sister did and said they were delicious. Everything our table had (there was 6 of us) was so good. You have to try their crabby waffle fries (chef's kiss)!!! The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.
One of the best displays of customer service I have experienced in Maryland. The owner greeted us at our table! The food is amazing!!! Crab fries are the best I?ve ever had. Definitely worth visiting if you have not!!! We will be back!!

Food was decent but the stuffed shrimp is overpriced for what you get and is just ok. My wife enjoyed the crab bread bowl. She loved it. That's why I give this 4 stars. Daughter had the pizza and said it was okay.
My husband stopped in for crab cake surprise. Nice size lumb crabcakes. Very tasty crab cakes and I would go back. Greek salad (not pictured) was very tasty as well.
