When I entered the place at 7:53pm the place was being cleaned preparing to close at 8:00pm. The place was still clean upon entering the location. The customer service was exceptional when I placed the order. I inquired about the rewards and if it was still available. I was informed that the rewards was still apart of the restaurant. However, the system was having technical difficulties throughout the day and my number was not found. Seems like one of the employee was ready to go, but I didn't like the way he was acting because I was taking like 2 mins at the machine. We used to come here and the quality has really gone down. $10 for a mediocre chicken sandwich and then having to pay an additional $5 for a drink and side is really disappointing considering this used to be a nice lunch spot. If the prices are going to raise the least that could be done is keep the quality the same, but the sandwiches and fried pickles were greasy, barely had any lettuce on them, and just not tasty. I wouldn't recommend the not-so-waffle sandwich to anyone, the jam was too sweet and none of the flavors made sense together. Really disappointed overall, but the restaurant was at least clean and pleasant inside.
Completely dissatisfied. The chicken wasn't crispy the bread was soggy the sauce was not smackin. Not only that but when I opened the box to the sandwhich the tomato was half way hanging off bread wasn't even placed on it correctly, kinda looked like it was thrown. Did not get the quality I paid for should've got a refund and just got some Wendy's. Last time I went to boxcar was a year or 2 ago in west Ashley and it was the best chicken sandwich I ever had so idk what this store got going on. The cashier was really pretty and sweet tho so A for her.
I come here quite often. My food has been hot and so fresh every single time. Last night it was 5 minutes to 8 (closing time but I still saw people in there and thought maybe they were closing later so I went in. (I have experience with food service and used to hate when people would come in last minute. . However, the manager, Israel was so incredibly pleasant about me dining in and he had such a good attitude with having people in there eating after closing time. The food is great, but the service and energy in there is what I really appreciate.

My sister was in town from Dallas and she was West Ashley and I live in Goose Creek and she asked me to meet her at boxcar Betty's and I wanted to tell you that it had the best brunch! I wish it were near her to where I live, but I would definitely go there again and I highly recommend this restaurant it's a casual little restaurant and a strip mall and you wouldn't believe how great the food is Yum.
The management was unprofessional and even threatened to fire employees in front of customers, including me. There was a short woman with brown hair and tattoos who made the atmosphere quite uncomfortable. I felt really sorry for the cashier. While the food was decent, I won't be returning. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5.
The sandwiches and chicken tenders were both enjoyable, with the tenders being the standout. The food was served hot and fresh. The hand-cut fries were excellent, and they even offer sweet potato fries if you're a fan. I didn’t take any pictures because I ate everything too quickly!
One of the better chicken sandwiches I've ever had, the sandwich was cooked 2perfection juicy seasoned well and fall of the bone texture. The ? were done just right with light salt. Customer service was on par great experience 4 me.

Tried Boxcar Betty visits Charleston. Perfect roast chicken sandwich! Delicious blows, pages were excellent. Everything was fresh and hot. Loved?
