my family visited berchtesgaden for 15 years at different times of the year. it is a breathtaking place and the landscape is spectacular. we have tried to visit this brewery for eating a few times and it is always closed or busy. this time it was open and so we were very excited to finally eat here. we know that the beer is excellent as we drink it all the time at these celebrations. Unfortunately, despite the large beer menu for the design of the beer there were only 2 beers. I can forgive this, but it was eating. we have eaten in so many large Bavarian restaurants in berchtesgaden in the run of the years that we expected this to be the same or even better. we were wrong. the service was go...
We ate here after wandering through the park(s) in the area. We speak limited German - but enough to get by ordering food. When our food was brought out one of the two bratwursts that came with Cait's meal fell on the floor. The waiter said he would bring another - without even apologizing to the gentleman who jacket was covered in a bit of grease next to us. The replacement wurst never came and we finally ate our meal before paying and departing. We've eaten at a couple of the Hofbrauhaus' in Germany and had great experiences until this one.
Great authentic German food! Sausage is super, fried potatos delicious, and beer is superb. Some of the waiters do speak English, and more than one language. Atmosphere is being in a quaint pub. Also, eating area outside, Menu has many offerings. Service was prompt.
We decided to try the beer here one afternoon, then we came back two nights for supper and beer. We especially liked the Jubilaeumsbier. The wienerschnitzell was excellent, as was the fish. You can sit inside or outside in the biergarten.

Very tasty cheese and also the apple strudel were very delicious! The service had a lot to do and was still very nice. Up on the terrace you sit very nice. We got a place around half 7 though we didn't reserve
It was just very nice there. The food was the absolute hammer very tasty and highly recommended. The service was always friendly and funny. We'll go back there.
Delicious, typical Bavarian food and very attentive service. You can sit in the beautiful courtyard and enjoy the ambiance. And, of course, there's good beer.
Unfortunately at the wrong time (15:00) there. There was only soup or pork haxe. Both very tasty. Beer is very good. Who wants to eat extensively from 5 pm

fantastic authentic food, the schewinaxe is so delicate. I recommend the cursed strudel for the desert. was already many times before and will be back
The food in the restaurant was very typical Bavarian food with a great quality. The service was fast responsive even with a full restaurant.
