Have visited for many years as the best fillet steak around and still is. But.......visited last night and quite disappointed. Glass of wine and beer looked uninviting. 2 pate starters, pate was tasteless and personally thought bread should have been toasted like it used to be. Great fillet steak but the famous chips were no better than chip shop chips. Beautiful dessert but cutlery let it down. Cheapest of cheap rubbish. Service was great, very hard working staff. Back door was open and cigarette smoke coming in when eating. Hasn't put us off but please don't let standards drop.
