"The staff were very happy in their work. Nice position in the town. The food was fine, the wine typical of a "no-name" carafe, lots of great Belgian beer. We didn't go back during the trip because we found better value food elsewhere."

We have been coming here for more than 5 years on a regular basis. This week we had a terrible experience with the service. Maybe we were just unlucky with out waiter, but we expect better, he was hopeless. Firstly we waited 30 mins to order, then he forgot the order and I had to remind him, he then forgot water, then bread, then ketchup. Actually it was so bad we started to laugh in the end. He was clearly not qualified for the job or trained appropriately. A real shame because we will now try somewhere else to eat. The food was ok, pizza's are not as good as they used to be. I think a bit smaller and my son's was covered in flour. We dropped dessert as we couldn't face the bad service anym...

We had two awful meals here a few years ago and said we wouldn't go back. When In Buis over Easter we saw that Mouss who used to run the Escale has taken over - we ate there nearly every evening. The food was excellent on every visit especially the Steak and we had the best pizzas of our holiday. Also worth mentioning is the Tiramasu and the chocolate cake. We took two friends who were also wowed. Mouss is an excellent host and he has two fantastic staff working for him on service. So glad to see it doing well and my advice is to book to be sure of a table!

It is a touristic restaurant but nicely situated next to the bridge. It has an open terrace, better than the crowded packed terraces at the other side of the road. The menu is simple, but the food tasted very good. Not to expensive, the right price for the right food. Just touristic kind of menus: pizza, burgers, meat and fish on the menu. Nothing fancy but good quality. The staff is friendly and we were serverd quickly. (at the moyenne season)

I went there with my family to take a drink and for the kids to eat a pizza, they told me that just for one pizza they didn't want us to eat on the terrace in the eating area!It wasn't pick time for dining and they didn't want to accommodate us. This was the 2nd time so I left and won't return. Their clients are definitely not something they value.
