My wife and I had the house speciality, the sirloin steak with frites, special sauce and walnut salad. The steak arrives on a platter already cut which is a great touch. Unfortunately, ours were lukewarm and the "warmer" the platter sits on isn't effective as the little candle is in the middle but the 2 steaks are on the sides. The frites were disappointing ... perhaps not cooked enough and the walnuts would be best roasted before putting on salad. I guess we thought as this is the house speciality they would nail all three elements and frankly they should. We shared the profiterole dessert which was a surprise. It was yummy but isn't the usual one with custard inside the pastry rather an open...

Walking into this spacious yet welcoming restaurant, lovers of French fare will be excited. The food however is really only just OK. The steak while beautifully cooked sits on a platter designed to keep it warm which actually is very ineffectual. The salad was barely dressed and the chips tasted a little stale. Sadly the service was also very slow. We had a new French lady and while you want to be supportive of new staff they really should be trained on some basics first. For example - how does the cook like to prepare his steaks or how long should you wait to get your drink order. (10 minutes is a little too long - especially when the restaurant is 20% full) With wooden floors it is also im...

beautiful French atmosphere, but a little expensive for what they get. three of us had the clad du jour of rindermarrow stew. it was delicious, but the portions were quite small. the French wobbles soup was too cheesy and the brot was soggy. the steak was tender and probably the best value of all net parts. the fries were crispy and tasty as promised. for dessert we had profiteroles good, they were shaped like profiteroles, but they were not filled with choux bakery (some crunchier, maybe puff bakery) and they were filled with ice cream. a beautiful dessert, but not what we have ordered.

slow meal I had ever had. it took almost four hours! we were a group of 12. we have preordered the 3 courses banquet meals 5 days in advance and yet, after eating the gut, it took another hour to get the meals and again another hour dessert. both the meal and the desert courses were only bought after we called a waiter and asked how much longer was the meal brought out? then we asked another hour later, how long until the desert is brought out? we arrived at 5:45 clock and after 9:30 clock. I would not recommend this to my friends and not plan to visit this restaurant in the future. Book a table now

Like some of the recent reviews, a very disappointing experience. Food was lukewarm, service was non-existent. Had to flag waitress down to order, no drinks brought. First course arrived before we were given our wine, which we had to remind about. Roquefort soufflé without any...Roquefort it seemed, and tepid chicken. $12 for a bowl of cold, soggy fries. We would have complained if there was anyone to tell! Staff seemed to be more interested in having fun amongst themselves. What a shame. Get over to Frenchies in Elanora Heights to see how it’s done.

we had recently had a group of 6 to lunch. we found it disappointing that the service was not placed on the legs. we had to attract the staff every time we needed to eat, drink or coffee reaction. 2 of the meals were served...Tepid and also plate cold. magret was hard. the sides were overpriced. pichet weine poor. personal friendly and coffee excellent. we were before dinner and the food and service were excellent.

Johann and Vincent are exceptional restauranteurs when life was normal, we loved visiting their beuatiful venue to enjoy the exquisite cuisine and atmsphere. Now we are in this Covid lockdown, we are getting takeaway whenever possible and everything is equally as magnificent and their...charming demeanor and service remains.

Bit disappointed. Prices are high for the quality. The duck confit was rather dry. My daughter found her salmon over done. The service was just ok.
