I've been in Marseille for almost a month. I went here early on as it's near my apartment. It was a busy week day lunchtime. Despite that service was efficient and competent and the food good. I had the duo of beef tartare and carpaccio, my husband had a lamb shank. We enjoyed it and it seemed popular with local workers. Unfortunately, my second visit was rather disappointing. Again it was a weekday lunchtime but later on, after 2.30. However, when I asked, the woman on the desk said they were still serving (after tearing herself away from her phone admittedly). So i sat down and waited...and waited...and waited. I understand they'd wound down for the afternoon, and the waitress I originally...

We really enjoyed the tartare and carpaccio, really well done. The mussels were not as good - We ate only a few before we became unable to have more. Fries were fries, always a fan. The salad we got was simple, and yummy. The dessert, the profiterol, had just been defrosted, and was half ready half not.All in all, I was OK, but not satisfied with the food.As a last note, the service was REALLY, REALLY SLOW - Our water bottle was seldom refilled, we had to ask for the check three times, and once they gave it to us they wouldn't come pick up the card to let us go.

Maybe it's not fair to rate a restaurant on one bad dish on one visit but others have done so to the good, so here goes. I ordered a mushroom pasta and it was the blandest thing I have ever had. It tasted like Chef Boy-a-dee made it. The mushrooms, probably dried, didn't even taste like mushrooms. The service was the normal French service. Good location. Nice two-tier outdoor seating. Limited wine selection but has more beers. But man how can a mushroom pasta have no taste? Hope their other dishes are better

Although the waiter was kind the place was a bad choice. We had to endure all 5 waiters sitting next to us chain smoking through a pack of cigarettes while we tried to breath. The coffee was the worst we have had in France and the beer was way overpriced even for the location. We decided to pass on the food so I cannot comment on that. Book a table now

You would expect this place, being in the center of it all, to serve small meals and rip you off. Quite the opposit. I had the lasagna for lunch. Great! Good service and no extra charges for bread, water and cheese to sprinkle. I didn't rate the food as "excellent" but for the money - great!

We had lunch at this brasserie. While the food we got was of decent quality, I must say I'd expected this place to have a working toilet! The flush did not work... and there was only one toilet for ladies. This should not be permitted to happen.

Great Marseille restaurant in true Templar style. We had Tartar beef and pasta and wine and deserts. All were delicious and served with a very positive attitude. One of the best meals during the whole on week trip was also very inexpensive :)

Not a gastronomic delight but simple food done well with a good selection of beers. Off the tourist track (just) so perhaps more honest. No view of the harbour but a good place to while away some time. Book a table now

Had a nice little break at this outdoor brasserie. Just a delightful place to take a break. We were walking down the street looking for an inviting place to sit and this did the trick.
