Brasserie Marso - Table reservation

This restaurant is a bit out of the town centre, but still an easy 10 minute walk over the river from the main square. (If you're driving there's a big car park outside.) Central Castres, to us at any rate, did not appear to be over-blessed with good restaurants so we were fortunate that this one was recommended to us by the proprietor of the Hotel Renaissance and we ate there two evenings out of three. Brasserie Marso is a well run bistro with welcoming, efficient staff and traditional French brasserie decor on two floors. You may need to book at busier times of the year (05 63 35 79 30).

This restaurant is near the station, not far from the town centre. We ate at lunchtime on a Sunday, and found the restaurant to be unpretentious with a good range of entrées, main courses and desserts. The service was very good, and the food was excellent. Our dog, who is very well-behaved but a little large, was made welcome too. We'd definitely recommend it and will go back again.

my favourite place to eat. if I'm in castres, I'll go there at least three times a week. eating is excellent and people are very friendly and accommodating.

We had a good beer, great sea food, good fois gras, very good burger, all well served, happy to come again ;)
