It's difficult to get bad food in the Languedoc and Serignan and nearby villages dotted along the nearby Canal Du Midi offer great fayre. Your spoilt by choice. Thing is that the menu's tend to offer the same sort of dishes. Nothing to complain about necessarily but then again nothing to write home about either. Good food, in stunning locations, with typical French flare and god given sunshine, it's all good. The problem is that to stand out from the crowd you have to be very extra special. In town for market day, there's no shortage of local places to eat, most with a well priced menu du jour. This place looked good and the menu choices tempting.For under 15 euros a two course menu with two choices for each course, add 3 euros for dessert. We had soup de poisson for starters which was truly excellent, could have eaten it all day long! Mains we had either grilled sardines, as fresh as can be, the other had the escalope de veau Milanese, with pasta....light, tender and juicy - simple dish done well. A wine list of local wines we took a bottle of rose for 10 euros and it was very very nice.No room for dessert just a coffee. Portion sizes are more than enough.We'd go back and eat...
Visited the Brasserie Saint -Roche on a number of occasions in August whilst on holiday in Serignan in August. The most pricey of the restaurants on the Allees de la Republique but also the most upmarket and with an excellent standard of food and service. Owned and run by a hardworking and attentive couple who go out of their way to make you welcome and ensure that you have a great meal it is very popular so it is prudent to book as their commitment to well prepared food means that they manage the kitchen carefully. We will be eating there again when we return.
This restaurant appears to capitalize on the holiday market. As regular visitors to Serignan most of my family have given it a try. All with the same verdict, overpriced and pay more than anticipated. Some food good, some ok, nothing outstanding. I think all the others on the square offer the same service and better value fresh food, although sometimes a little more basic. Non of us will ever eat at Saint Roche again

We really enjoyed our meal here. My husband's steak was done to perfection and his frites were the best we have tasted in a long time. Our 4 year old son had a clean plate after I was concerned he wouldn't eat his burger as it didn't come in a bun. My mussels were very tasty but the sauce was a bit too spicy for my liking. - my only complaint. We would however definitely return!

We have visited and returned to SR a few times on our holiday with our children, the food is amazing and the service is excellent. The staff are so welcoming.
