I took my wife and our young son for lunch yesterday at the Auberge du Port in the hope rather than expectation that the poor service that we had experienced during a visit last month would prove to be have been an exception and not...the rule. Although this restaurant was once the eatery of choice for the great and good of the region, as well as for better healed tourists, it has recently struggled to maintain its hard earned reputation its current success is arguably more as a result of its prominent position on the port than of the food on offer or how it is served. Nevertheless, the sun was shining and, happily installed at our table after a warm and friendly welcome by the Maître D, we...

We took our almost 3 year old to this restaurant last week for lunch. The service was professional, friendly and welcoming. We shared a starter of whitebait with squid, which my son tucked into with great relish and a Thai style tartare of salmon, which could of been a bit more Thai for our liking. The presentation was fantastic. My son then had the moules frites which was lovely and we shared a shell fish platter of our choosing. All the time beautiful salt crusted fish were being expertly served all around us. Fantastic dinning theatre. The sea food was very good and even kept my son entertained with crab claws and prawn play whilst we finished eating. The staff were very good with our chi...

This place looks so lovely and could be with some attention to detail. We started off with 2 coupe de Champagne, the bottles was already open and it was completely flat. Sadly we were too polite to complain. We ordered cod with aioli and sole....The food was fine but luke warm at best. We shared a crepe suzette for dessert for a bit of theatre. The pan came out full of a liquid to which she added 2 precooked pancakes then walked off. Later a chef came added the booze lit it up then served it. It wasn’t great maybe needed some butter. All in all €130 on a mediocre meal not recommended as it was in my book the Rough Guide to Provence.

Lovely seafood dinner, we had oysters, tuna, salmon tartar and sea urchins.. Presentation was spot on, food was beautiful and the service lovely. The owner came out to check how we were going a couple of times and had a nice chat with the staff. Definitely recommend! Book a table now

Horrible!! We had to ask for the menu after 30 min when nobody came! 45 min of wait at our table just to be able to ask for drinks! Just for them to tell us our dish was not available.

I thought it would be difficult to get a bad meal in Bandol, France but the Brasserie adjacent to this Auberge du Porte, owned by the same person, proved me

Lovely staff, polite and interested. The food was quick but very well presented. Good times and not too expensive for the quality.

I decided to stop for a bite and take advantage of their lunch "special" (same menu than next door TOCHE restaurant).
