I generally initially judge a restaurant by the parking lot. A crowded parking lot generally indicates a popular and well liked place. Goldener Engel lived up to this expectation. The restaurant was crowded, as was the bar. I took up what I thoughts was the...last remaining seat at the bar and, after ordering a beer and enjoying the first few sips, the bartender recommended I move to a different side of the bar, so as not to be disrupted by the constantly busy waitstaff. To be honest, the restaurant is so crowded and frequently visited because it is in Ingelheim, basically in the middle of nowhere and the next bigger city away. I think it‘s nothing special, food is okay, beer is okay, but if there would be...similar options, with this pricing, it wouldn‘t be my first choice. I personally think the food is better in Nonna Martha. Yes, I know they belong to the same owner, but still, I prefer the food and the location of Nonna over Engel
The beer is quite nice and they have the usual pub food. I was looking forward to the Käsespätzle as out is one of my favourite dishes. Unfortunately out was one of the worst Käsespätzle ever. It was bland as Dutch cheeses were used. While...I am Dutch and love our cheese, it is an absolute waste of a great dish and I do not understand the choice. The burger of my partner was pretty standard. From a price quality perspective there are better choices in town
The Brauhaus Goldener Engel is the perfect place to meet after work with colleagues and friends for a lovely evening together. The homemade beer and the menu are of great quality. Boehringer Ingelheim and other local companies invite their business customers to dine here or...hold workshops or meetings here. The brewery is also very popular for corporate and family functions. The beer itself here is lovely. Big fan of the Helles beer. I had the potato soup to start which was very nice and the brauhaus burger which was very good. It's a cool place having the beer vats around the restaurant. I didn't find...it loud at all like some reviews so maybe it was just timing. Service was a little slow but other than that I like the place
Have been here several times for business. Huge spaces, but most of time, it is crowded. Not a large selection of food, but okay. I do not drink, so could not comment on its drink menu, but my colleagues seem to enjoy its beer every...time when we visit. Typical German food. In Summer, it has nice outdoor seatings too
This microbrewery makes excellent beer. It has a larger area for drinks and food and you can got there to eat. The service and the food are OK. The Bavarian Weißwurst with sweet mustard was great. There is ample parking
