Nice restaurant with great two story interior space. Tables on two levels but still, somehow, all with a cozy feel to it. Pleasantly lit perhaps a bit too dark for some tastes and friendly and efficient service. We were a party of six, including...a child and a baby. We came here twice during our visit in September, once for food and to try the beer, and once just for beer. Both times we came in around 5:00 and had no problem finding seats at high top tables in the bar area. The woman...at the bar was very nice and let us try a couple of tastes before we ordered our beer. We both really enjoyed the Schwarzbier, but the Braunbier was a little sweet, which our server did warn us about. Food was good, but fairly average for pub food. Service was fine, atmosphere was fine. Would come here again if visiting.

We walked in spontaneously around and there were no free tables. The server a young man in Adidas- sneakers who's name we didn't catch) told us to be back in a couple of hours. We got back around PM and there were...a waiting line so we had to wait about ten minutes for a table, but the server remembered us and gave us a nice table. It's a very busy restaurant so reserve a table beforehand! The food was really good and their beer was fantastic. The server was very attentive and efficient and we had a great night here.
We arrived at 7.30pm and weren't greeted by anyone to be bruskly told as we tried to walk upstrairs for a table that they were not serving any food. We asked if we could sit and have a beer and in an hour or so eat but this simply wasn't cared for... we still sat down at a dirty table for a beer served from a sticky glass... might be a great place but this day didn't perform... perhaps they were overwhelmed from the public holiday and that's even ok, just maybe put out a sign and be nice to patrons.
The Photos of the interior are spot on. Very warm and cozy inside. I had the beef in beer sauce with rotkohl and dumplings. It was delicious. They also have a good beer selection. I stuck with the dark beer or dunkel and it again...was very good. About two minutes walk from the main square. Very reasonably priced.
Was ok for wholesome bar food and a local brewed beer at the counter as all tables were empty but reserved. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
