on the first day in coburg we met this brewhouse as the only bar in the late afternoon. good choice of beer. allowed to sit on a reserved table, but politely informed that it was booked later....Return them back for another beer during our trip and decided to book for an evening meal. limited menu, but the whole food was really nice. they definitely go back to my next visit in coburg.
besides being a little expensive, eating was great and filling. the pork shoulder was super crispy on the outside and fell from the bone on the inside. would come back with the red herb. very good location and the bathroom was very clean. if I could have a suggestion, maybe have a few more employees than just a work.
We wanted to find somewhere in Coburg to eat Schäufele and found this place and weren't disappointed. The food was good, classic Frankisch, in a charming old room with vaulted ceilings. The service was excellent and the prices really fair under 50 Euro...including entrees and drinks for the two of us. Worth a visit.

We have eaten here on many occasions my husband loves the pork knuckle! Although they say that they take credit cards be sure to have euros on hand. Their credit card machine (both portable and one at the counter) was unable to read multiple...cards that we tried to use.
a fantastic selection of beer and this location produces all locally. pleasant staff in an open restaurant. the black bone was amazing with great cracking. the salmon also well received. worth a visit. they love the beer menu.
Seven of us came during Christmas market season. The Christmas menu was outstanding, the service was great as well. I will absolutely come back again next time I visit Coburg.
Excellent service, very good choices on the menu with traditional local specialities. We ate well and we're surprised at the cost being within a good budget.

Down to earth Bavarian food come hungry, as plates are filled to abundance. This is most probably one of the most northern locations of Bavaria.
