I went to the bread basket 10 years ago and it was great. It was the first alternative to Lou's deli that I was happy. So we went there today, and we ordered two sandwiches, and we tried their crooked beef rolls for some reason. I ordered the bread basket sandwich that is like a dunty bog, but with Swiss cheese. I ordered the original size sandwiches and I was a little disappointed. Last time I went here, the sandwich was stacked so high that I could hardly bite it, and the meat was very delicate and thin. There was a lot of taste from Russian dressing and tomatoes. This time I could barely taste the sauce, the meat was a bit salty and a little tasty and the bread was old and stuffed. It fel...
They must have changed owners because this went from being my favorite Bread Basket to never going again. I always get the same 17 1/2 9z on onion roll. Got home and it looked like a 6z. Called and they said to bring it back with the receipt. I get there and the cook said it was a 9z so I showed them the picture of what I always get and how it looks. He again said well this is a 9z so I asked him will if what they gave me was a 9z then what does a 6z look like? He said I don 't know and give her her money back if she don 't like it with a nasty attitude so I most definitely took my money back because I don 't argue with people about my food .The cook attitude was just horrible and defensive....
This is the best Bread Basket I've been to around the sandwiches my husband and I bought were so fresh and big neither of us could finish it in 1 sitting my husband ate his for lunch and some more with his dinner I ate mine for lunch and dinner and still had as piece to take for lunch at work the next day. The Bread Basket in Lincoln is no where near as good as this one is.
All the food was hot and fresh. The corned beef egg rolls are always my favorite. The sandwiches are always amazing. Yes it's pricy but it's worth it. The Only down side... Customer service is lacking, the girl behind the counter was just standing around and didn't seem to care when the food needed to be bagged. That will not stop me from coming back for the food.

I ordered a reuben sandwich with hot mustard. The cured beef was fat, there was half a drop of mustard, and I ordered on an onion roll that came to the head. Who puts a sandwich on a bun backwards? The frits were limp and undercooked and only lukewarm. Very disappointing and certainly not worth the money I paid. There are better places.
Absolutely awful ! ! ! Corned beef was absolutely tasteless, dry and was a pile of bits. Only a few slices.....And I ordered extra meat.....Onion roll was dry too. What happened to this place, So disappointing, used to be great ? ? ?
Most of them were outside, they didn't have a barbecue for their Rueben I wanted. So Sis has grilled me at home with a de-constructed Rueben! They were still stacking on the beef. Even Desserts!
It was absolutely wonderful, my husband and I always separated a corned beef with an order of onion rings??? the meat melts in your mouth the bread is fresh, no questions just put delicious?

Really good egg salad sandwich. Mushroom barley soup was a bit on the salty side. Coleslaw was meh.
I love the service great sandwiches they are the best place to go for cornberry and more.
