Had a lovely experience at The Turnpike this morning for breakfast. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome from Tony, we requested a quiet table so that I could breastfeed my newborn. Tony went above and beyond and led us to a closed off area for us to sit and eat privately. The team had cleaned the area and it was all set for dinner service so this was so appreciated. Tony kept it blocked off so no one could disturb us. Its lovely to go somewhere, be looked after and feel comfortable to breastfeed. We also had a lovely experience with Fran who again couldn't do enough for us. Both Tony and Fran made sure we were comfortable, had enough food and anything else we needed. We came for breakfast whilst staying at the premier inn next door. It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. It was all buffet style and my 6 year old son asked for second helpings of the English breakfast which doesn’t happen often! he’s been telling everyone today how lovely his breakfast was. We visit quite a lot to see family so we will visit again. We usually stay in a different hotel however we will be staying here in future. Many thanks
i’m yet to try the food yet however i feel like i needed to come on here and talk about the awful service which i have experienced. we have been waiting for our food for over 40 minutes now. this would possibly be understandable if the pub was busy however it is almost empty. there are plates that have been out for over an hour since we came in.
The Turnpike is a great local spot for a high-quality, affordable lunch. Today, the fish and chips were cooked perfectly and the kids enjoyed the delicious pasta, strawberry ice cream, and drinks. Special thanks to Karen and Arron for their excellent customer service.

On arrival we were met by Tony who showed us to our table. The sevice and the staff behind the bar were very friendly and the meals we had was also very nice, there was lots of different dishes to pick from, but we all picked the carvery which we enjoyed
