My wife myself visited the Brick Bourbon Restaurant in Maple Grove during a recent trip to visit family friends in the Minneapolis area. The drinks, food service were all exquisite! We liked it so much that we made a return trip 2 days later for lunch. My wife had one of their macaroni cheese plates the first trip the Hot Honey Chicken Waffles the second. The only reason I gave an extra star from my review was our food delicious. But apart from that, the service was disappointing. We came to the bar last night. Our server was clear, but it came only to our table to get our food and beverage order. We didn't see them again until our plates were cleaned, and we needed boxes. I felt as if they had given more attention to their larger tables, which had significantly greater control amounts. Small local chain carving out an interesting niche emphasizing an upscale bar experience. A comprehensive selection of liquor, whiskey in particular. Something for everyone. I stopped in with a hankering to try a Japanese whiskey and was happy to find 10 ! options in that category. I doubt there's anyplace else in the Twin Cities that has 3 choices, let alone 10. I was helped by an extremely knowledgeable young bartender. As it was mid-afternoon and the place was quiet, we had a chance to chat at length about my options. On a Saturday afternoon, it was quite crowded, resulting in a 15-minute wait for a table for two. However, the close proximity between tables and patrons didn't instill a sense of safety during the visit. I tried the poutine and found it enjoyable, although I likely wouldn’t order it again. The parking lot was quite icy and difficult to navigate, but there were plenty of spots available.
We had our first visit here this past weekend and loved the food and atmosphere! Exceptional drink and bourbon flight choices. We took my in-laws here for Father's Day, and really enjoyed the food too. I ordered the BLT sliders which came on pretzel buns with fried green tomatoes, and a side salad. They were delicious! My husband ordered the buffalo chicken Mac n cheese- flavor was bomb! My mother-in-law ordered the ribs Mac n cheese which was also excellent!! Our waitress was also super helpful, friendly, and provided excellent service.
Great place for Bourbon inside or outside on the terrace, with a few unique barrel picks at a great price. Ask for the special whisky menu so you can see all offers? I’ve been to brick burboun countless times and the food ALWAYS delivers. The service was prompt and friendly and the bread pudding was to die for. I always invite my friends here because it has such a great vibe with amazing food.
