We have made a group of Foodie friends for a gastric hazard and arranged a banquet. There was three of us and we shared what was shareable. The food was terrible and in some cases expensive. The king prawn on a beetle with rice was $10.00. The catch, you only get half a prawn for $10.00. Not shareable. The duck was $18.00, this was shareable, there was 4 tiny pieces of duck sitting on a small mound of unpleasant tasting vegetable. Mains, there was not any that appealed to us. We choose some sides instead. These appeared burnt, but we were informed the blacken outside was supposed to be like that. The owners were inspired to open an Indian restaurant in Sydney, but were determined to be something out of the ordinary, and they have definitely succeeded. Kiran, one of the owners, told us that Brick Lane is uniquely Sydney - Indian food, but the way Sydney-siders like to eat - fresh, light, innovative and with beverages to match.

That warm, soothing, satisfying bowl of a delicious curry, either grabbing one quickly for an easy dinner on the way home, or attempting a brief escape from a blistering winter night staying in. Some are good. Some are better. Some are so disappointingly average. Either way, you usually know what you're in for each time you order your favourite, even if trying somewhere new.

Staff were friendly but didn't enjoy my meal very much. Food was bland. Quite expensive, nothing special, and took quite a long time to receive our food when it wasn't very busy. Probably won't be coming back.
