fantastic dinner we regularly come to the bricklayers, as the Brat dinners are 10/10. the tellers are loaded with food and it tastes absolutely delicious, especially the cake! we arrived this time later than normal and there was no place...available, so we hanged around until one was free, and that was still nice. Unfortunately, I was annoyed by this opportunity because a worker was extremely rude. when they were asked for more gravity (as the first was a dribbel) it came to a massive problem for them and they did not look happy, and they snapped me back when they asked for a name." I'd say maybe they had a bad day, but at previous visits they don't seem to want to be there. a small customer...

Visited this traditional old school pub for a Sunday roast which tasted great and fantastic value. So much better than many of the local bistro type pubs around these days. But, the service from one of the staff was pretty aggressive and in fact laughable....I felt slightly afraid to say no to the carrots and was prettified to ask for more gravy. I’m not sure she enjoys her job and perhaps should think about less customer facing role. I look forward to going back and hopefully this time I will try and gather enough confidence to say no to the carrots !!!!

oh, what a disappointment we found last Monday an empty bar, but still sat and had lunch. the lamb was stacked with Tepid vegetables on a cold plate. my filled water was £3! the cake of my man was not on the usual standard...either we have come here for years and bring especially my mother-in-law who lives in the nearby whiteley village. eating is usually exceptional if not today. I understand that the prices increase, but I'm afraid that lamming to £13,95 is just not worth it. we will not come back

We went here on a recommendation for a really great home cooked Sunday lunch. Service started at midday and the food was plentyful. My friend and I both had the roast beef with all the veg and the plate was overflowing. It all tasted great...and the value for money was also amazing. The only thing I would say was that the beef was slightly overcooked for my liking but it may have been my fault for not asking for aa cut from the middle but there was a big queue behind me. Quiet family run free house pub, having 2 bars and a garden seating area. Has the best carvery around on a Sunday lunch time, usually with a choice of 3 meats a meat pie and a vegetarian choice. Week days there is a choice of...several pub classics served in the evenings. There is also a midday menu which I haven’t tried. All the meals are individually prepared and cooked freshly. The portions are quite large and beautifully presented.

Came here with a friend for lunch. It’s her local and kept telling us about it how great it was. And she was so right. And very reasonable. For freshly cook food Wow loved it. Food was plentiful and hot and a great amount of...choice. I had a Roast beef and everything. Followed by home made rhubarb &custard. Didn’t eat anything for the rest of the day. Staff very happy and friendly. Yes I will be back.

terrible service. ruse manager. no children allowed, but there is no need for the manager to be rude about it. No one in there and still do not want our custom the manager is extremely rude and clear is not used to actually turn people...up would not recommend anyone.

Happened upon this pub by chance after visiting the Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare centre. Had the Sunday roast for £11. It was a huge plate. Shame the roast potatoes were really hard. Great atmosphere and you can bring your 4-legged friends! Book a table now
