The only 2 things that caught my eye were a few and I mean 2 gnats flying by our food and the men's bathroom reminded me of a Turkish style bath but for kids, since the toilet and urinal were so low to the ground. Basically lots of space in the men's bathroom to upgrade that bathroom to the way it should be in today's times. It should also be cleaned a lot better around the exterior floor of the toilet. Again. I was nitpicking here since everything else was great and I wanted to find something to complain about, or should I say give positive reinforcements on! Had an early Saturday dinner. Service was attentive though our server seemed a bit young and a bit distracted at times. The hummus appetizer was terrific...very creamy and with a pleasant taste and went well with the nice homemade bread. My wife enjoyed her red lentil soup and Med. salad. Her falafel appetizer on top of it was a bit overwhelming for her after the soup, bread and salad so she only enjoy a bit there and brought the remainder home for another mean. My gyro plate was equally filling. A nice addition to Highland Park.
I recently had some of the best food I have had in a long time at this restaurant. Although it is a bit pricey, it is definitely worth it. The bread was fresh and hot, the red pepper dip was the best thing I have ever tasted, and all of the food was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and the restaurant was not busy, so it was a nice and relaxed atmosphere.
