Dropped in here today for lunch despite advice from a friend about a bad experience he had not long after the place opened. We went to Brown Sugar for breakfast in early January on the recommendation of a work college and it did not disappoint.The cafe is basic but has everything you need, We were greeted by the owner and shown to our table. We ordered coffees and then looked over the breakfast menu to decide what to have. I ordered the eggs benedict with a hash brown on the side and my partner ordered the potato rosti with bacon. We also ordered orange juice. The coffee was very good and the orange juice freshly squeezed, beautiful. Took my family here by default as another site close by was shut, and oh a sensational place to be.The brunch, we had, pancakes with bacon and eggs Benedict, and it was hot all the way through. I was amazed and astounded as this is not usually the case in most hot meals, usually something is luke warm to cold. Also eggs and bacon on toast, and pancakes with fresh fruit. All was magnificent, seriously beautiful.The coffee was to die for as I'm told the hot chocolate. Could not recommend this place more, we'll certainly be back.Service was outstanding.
Friday night and thought we'd give them one away. the first time we eat from here. ordered a take away and got home to have an absolutely excellent burger and great pommes. brown burgers should be very proud of her eating. also very polite and attentive young ladies behind the theke. we will be regular.

Since my first review my wife and i as well as friends have popped in here for drinks and snacks and they have definitely quitened the space down and improved the whole experience. We can now highly recommend this Cafe as a place to eat at in Moonah.
A very pleasant Sunday visit. Staff were friendly and food served in good time. I had the Mixed berry pancakes and they were the best I have ever eaten......and believe me at 65 I have had lots of pancakes.Well done Brown Sugar, I will return
Drop in for a sunday morning coffee and egg and bacon muffin we we sat down at a table the salt and pepper sugar jars were covered in dust and food scraps we covered the jars with paper towel drunk the coffee and got out of there never again
Breakfast was a delight at this place, clean and a very pleasant manager who went out of his way to please, meals were a reasonable price and there were gluten free options for people who suffer from cealiac . Will definitely go here again

the menu was good, but not extensive, small wine list also. the temperature was also a bit cool and when we asked for more wein, they had to get another person to serve us. the food and the wine were in order.
We just had burgers in this restaurant yes its good burgers but its bit pricey and it will be good if they throw some greens with it and fries for the price and not extra charge.
