Just my first time there for breakfast on recommendation from a friend. Got grits bowl with eggs and bacon. Excellent! The grits were prepared perfectly for the way I like them. Didn't have to request anything, just got it right. My friend ordered the Conecuh sausage roll too and gave me a part. Also very delicious. I love sausage but Conecuh is not always my favorite BUT this is just the right choice and prepared very well. Highly recommended. Didn't have much need for service, but staff was friendly and efficient serving us at the counter. The place was clean and well kept.
I visit Brown Sugar a couple of times each week for breakfast, and the food and service are consistently outstanding. I work at a company that employs 15 very diverse individuals. Occasionally, when we reach our goals, the company arranges for a catered breakfast on Fridays. However, not once during my time there has everyone been satisfied with a "free" meal—until we tried Brown Sugar. We've used their catering service twice now, and not a single person had any complaints. That alone speaks volumes about the quality of food and the staff at Brown Sugar.
Every time I come in here, it's like getting a hug from a loved one. The owners staff are just the sweetest, nicest people! Grit bowls, Conecuh on a Croissant hit the spot for us this morning! Never had anything here I didn't like! They are good people. You can tell it in the way they run the shop, the attitudes, the love put into their food!
I stopped by and picked up a Breakfast Bowl (grits, eggs, cheese,bacon, sausage) for the first time, and baybee let me tell you! It was really good! Reminds me of the grit bowls from Milos (IYKYK)Overall, the staff is really nice the bakery is really clean ? I will be retuning ! ??

I've tried a variety of dishes from here, and they have all been outstanding. However, my absolute favorite is the caramel cake! Don't miss out on their breakfast sandwiches either; you won't regret it.
