The staff behind the bar seemed more interested in chatting and laughing than attending to customers. Big fan of Brown’s in Leeds, Glasgow and Brighton. Normally a great example of an upscale chain restaurant but this time it was appalling. The waitress was great and doing her best to cover up for the kitchen/chef and management failures. I can only imagine that the A team had the day off between Xmas and New Year. The failures were compounded by ‘Ash’ who proclaimed himself the Assistant Manager and the most senior person on duty this day. Booked some time ago through open table. Greeter seemed confused when we arrived. minutes early but found table for drinks. Then appeared to be forgotten and had to chase for a table in a very crowded restaurant. It transpired (we were told) that the booking from open table hadn't arrived and that when we entered the restaurant the greeter assumed we were another booking. We were found another table eventually and the service was efficient

Lovely building. Classy decor. Lively buzz. Great windows views down the Headrow. Only issue we had was with a fishcake dish but they responded very well. I was offered another dish and was not charged for it. We will go again.
I had a reservation for 5:30pm and the restaurant was bustling with a lively atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The staff were also very friendly.
A wonderful meal great service and food. I have a lot of food intolerances but the staff were fantastic about finding something I could eat and enjoy. Would recommend.
