We found this lovely small restaurant many years ago when we were exploring Nurnberg...and make a point of returning every time we return to Germany. It has recently changed ownership--we had a delightful visit with one of the new owners. He has the attitude and...positive energy that will ensure a successful continuation of the food and service we've experienced for the past years. Definitely worth a visit but check in advance to make sure they're open the night you are visiting since it's a hike up a couple of steep streets (very close to the Castle wall). with five people we have eaten tasty and inexpensive and very plentiful frankenwein. best order a 1 liter krug silvaner, drinks very well. we made 2 liters. gänsekeule was especially delicious. atmosphere less touristic than in nschbarschaft, tiny local with I think it were only 5 tables. better reserve. service fast and friendly. prices amazingly low.
On Friday night two came in and were not disappointed. The two dishes delicious, the sauerkraut and bread mega tasty. The Nuremberg sausages hold Nuremberg sausages. The Tucher Dark also delicious. What bothered us were the dance videos that ran, but TV was made on our wish. Can be recommended with good conscience.
The greeting when I came through the door was friendly and genuine. I started with Goulash Soup, which was very tasty. For the main course, I tried the Nuremberg Bratwursts which were superb. The decor is very traditional and the service is friendly. Great value...for money.

We were looking for a cozy place with local fare close to our hotel. Very small place with friendly service. All of our dishes were nicely prepared and reasonably priced. We arrived for an early dinner and the place was full by the time we...left.
After an hour still enjoy delicious Franconian chefs in a rustic atmosphere? No problem here! The food was quickly brought to the table and was incredibly delicious. A very honest restaurant without show or appearance. An absolute recommendation!
The food tasted very good to us. The service was friendly and our children were also welcome. I was very happy to find a restaurant offering Romanian cuisine. The herb wounds were tender and the polenta exactly as it should be. Very fine.
