We stumbled upon BurgerBar537 after being disappointed by the offerings at Treehouse Caffe. The exterior signage looked promising with a good selection of delicious options. However, the all-day happy hour made us question what the catch was. It was concerning that no one seemed to be in the kitchen or at the counter. After calling out for a few minutes, someone finally appeared to take our order. Despite being informed it would only take 15 minutes, we ended up waiting about 25 minutes. The food itself was decent with the fish 'n' chips and fish sandwich being highlights, although the sliders were overly salty. Overall, our experience was not as bad as some reviews would have you believe.
I don't understand why someone would label this place as a "fast fat bite." Perhaps they don't enjoy burgers? But why dine at a burger joint then? This restaurant serves top-notch burgers made from locally-sourced ingredients. The prices are higher but reflect the quality of the food. The menu is small but everything on it is delicious. If you're not a fan of burgers and fries, you might want to dine elsewhere. But if you love them, you won't find much better than this place. The location is beautiful and spacious, perfect for outdoor dining while practicing social distancing.
What a fantastic concept! After a disappointing experience at a different restaurant, we stumbled upon this hidden gem on the boardwalk. The quiet terrace with plenty of shade and a refreshing breeze right by the water was exactly what we needed. The casual atmosphere was just right, and the prices seemed too good to be true. But once we got our food, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and fresh ingredients. Well done, guys! We'll definitely be back.
I dont eat pork as a personal choice. I ordered a chicken burger, and after it took AN HOUR for the food to come, I took a few bites only to realize there was BACON on the burger. Totally unacceptable. The servers were obviously frazzled...and I dont blame them. This place is owned by the same guy as the Oystercatcher. Disorganized and a disappointment. If you want to pay top dollar for overrated bar food, be my guest. Book a table now
Unfortunately, This restaurant doesn’t list when pecans and walnuts are ingredients in their food (in our case the veggie burger). In fairness, it’s our responsibility to inform the staff however we’d typically expect to see that listed. We found out too late, the waiter was...semi apologetic, and didn’t remove the item from our bill. Well I guess he did offer to call medical assistance for us...
I eat far too many burgers, more than my doctor would like. I have to say that Burger Bar 537 was among the best tasting burgers I've ever eaten. It wasn't the condiments, the toasted bun or the lettuce, tomato or fat pickle... it was...the beef itself. Bon appetit!
We ran in to grab takeout as we had a ferry to catch. Was told it would take 15 minutes and I was still waiting a half hour later. Food is good and the setting is nice but they obviously need a few more skilled...cooks in the kitchen.
Ate here July 2020, nice spot under an umbrella overlooking Ganges Harbour. The burger was amazing, really flavourful, moist and filling. Service was very good, the price was a little steep. Book a table now
Our Cheeseburger was good. Served with crisp hot fries. Service could not have been better. Nice sunny patio with view of the marina. What's not to like?
