This burger restaurant is attached to the historic Albion Charles Hotel, a beautifully renovated multi storey Victorian era hotel dating from around 1885 on a prominent corner in Melbourne's inner north. The restaurant is gaily decked out in comfortable white chairs with cushions as well as lounge type seating along some walls. One selects from an extensive burger range. I modified my order which was easily accommodated. Chips and a small drink such as Schweppes soft drink can be added for A$5.50, Our order came to just under A$35.The burger was properly cooked with the combination of bacon and pineapple ideal on a warm summer's night. The chips were chunky and delicious.Afterwards one can bet...

I have ordered from this place several times, never actually dined in though. First few times (after they had newly opened) there were a few problems, such as keeping ingredients on the burgers that had specifically been requested not to have. They have improved since then however. The delivery times are very good, usually an hour or less, and the quality of the food is good. The delivery people are alwaqys friendly, too. Only issue is the value you get, as the food is actually quite expensive for something that is basically considered "takeout'. All in all, its a good place to eat if you don't mind paying a little extra.

Okay, I've never actually had a burger at the burger joint, but I have visited this pub a number of times, namely because it happens to be a short walk from the railway station. My opinion - not much. It is a pretty ordinary pub with nothing really all that much going for it. Namely it has a gaming lounge and a sports bar (as well as a drive thru bottle shop) and that it about it. Not really a place I would be hankering to visit again in a hurry.

It looks like they had a spare corner and didn't know how to fill it until someone suggested a Burger Bar. Strange position, very plain and rather cold decor, but in this little corner of the Albion Charles, they serve excellent Burgers. It's an interesting menu comprising Burgers, Chicken, Salads etc. I had a 'Stockmans' Burger and chips (about $15) and both were very well cooked and really tasty, particularly the chips.
