A few years ago this place was so disgusting I actually reported them to health and hygiene, they said they checked and it had been cleaned.. So I did a follow up and nothing had changed. The kitchen floor was so caked in dirt and congealed scum it was unreal. A slippery floor cone in the restaurant was covering a spilt coke that had gone BONE DRY so that had been there for days. Spilt white ice-cream on the machine had changed to what looked like a yellowish brown rock, must 've been months old.. We went for a quick lunch. First thoughts on arrival was the store looked like it had recently been refurbished.....pretty good first impression. Unfortunately the same couldn 't be said for the food or the service upon having an issue with cold, undercooked bacon xl burger. We asked for the burger to be replaced as it was anaemic and cold. Got given the replacement burger, for that to be even colder and still anaemic. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. There were hardly any customers during peak time, which should have been a warning sign. The staff took a long time to acknowledge me and my order took forever to be prepared. The drinks machine malfunctioned and nobody seemed to care about the mess it created. The team worked slowly and seemed unhappy. My burger was ready long before the rest of my order, leading to it getting cold while waiting for the fries to be cooked. when you order something with the selling point , of Gourmet , you expect a high quality product. I ordered a Gourmet Pepper burger meal, and same meal for my wife. After an 18 minute wait for the food. I was presented with undercooked bacon, so under cooked it still have been Alice. And excessive dressing pooling aroynd the bun. I returned and expressed my dissatisfaction to the same and requested a refund. Alot of too and forcing ensued, finally gett8ng me the requested refund.
