I was first pulled into burleigh baker by the charming barista happy with what I suspect was a regular customer before the bakery. all the hopes of the friendly service were quickly crashed when the said charming barista became a total ice queen. if I took my order. I have the impression that she didn't like to make table service available to go to the house. After I had knocked down my table mark on the bank and gave me a sullen pout when she took my money for order, I will surely wait outside of the icy cold count of the staff there. I was wondering what I said or did. think twice about eating at this place people: very disappointing service, I have enjoyed my meal and coffee.
my partner and I ordered our speck and egg rolls in the paradise store and it was the worst decision ever. it was assumed to come with the tomatenrelish, but ours were gone. together with we asked for BBQ sauce. if it. I'm sure there wasn't seen. the main problem with eating was that it had a taste of oil. unsafe when the bungalow was completely fried deep, but gosh felt sick afterwards. make one please and avoid the speck and eier roles here.
Stopped in for my morning coffee, and then couldnt go past the visually tempting almond croissants and 'beach bums'. Hubby said it was the best almond croissant he has had in years, the coffee was made perfectly to my liking (as requested), and the beach bum' was delish in terms of texture, flavour combos and presentation. The staff were all happy and warmed to my 3 kids and hubby. ( even the baker).
Having eaten pastry in Europe and sooo lucky in French colonised Vietnam when living their I struggled with finding quality croissant and pastries until finding this absolute gem. The croissant and pastries, Portuguese Tarts and breads are stunning. Neat staff creating a friendly vibe, and...bonus !!! Really good coffee the food is deserving of.

After reading previous reviews, we decided to stop by this restaurant for lunch. My husband ordered a burger while I opted for the Chicken Caesar sandwich on sourdough. The sandwich was packed with a generous amount of chicken and bacon, and it tasted delicious. Despite being a bit of a distance from the beach, the walk was worth it.
Seems like a nice little place. We sat outside and people watched while we sipped our nicely made coffees and stunning sweet treat. Not sure of the name of it, bit was like a muffin, croissant type of thing. Beautiful. Staff all had smiles which...was nice. Reasonable quick service for such a busy place.
Great bakery where the bread is baked with health in mind! The guys even made me a bespoke sandwich. Gorgeous goods! I was on holiday but my friends who live in Burleigh Heads always shop at the bakery. You can take 5 and sit outside with a coffee and some lunch on James Street. Hipster Burleigh.
Had a Ham Cheese Croissant and coffee $13.00, sat outside, they bought it out, staff friendly, croissant tasted good, coffee ok. Ot was 7.45am on a Thursday morn in January, nice shady area to sit, seats a bit hard (stools metal). I will be back.

Top shelf coffee. I haven't tried the rest of James street to test the opposition but no complaints! Good choice of cakes. Breads and breakfasts looked terrific.
Here nearly every day. Probably the best coffee on the Gold Coast. Great breads and sandwiches etc. James Street Burleigh is a great place to spend the day.
