"Wow, what an exceptional place! From the moment I walked in, I felt like royalty. The service was outstanding; my server, Raymond, was a true delight. It’s been a long time since I encountered a waiter who genuinely enjoys his job. Oh, and the steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back!"

I decided to try B/D on March 1, 2010, after dining at several other restaurants, and it turned out to be a big mistake. The place was almost empty, with only two tables occupied, and from the outset, both the service and food were disappointing. It took 20 minutes to receive a glass of wine and a bottle of beer. The clams on the half shell came with broken shells, and the fried calamari was rubbery. The 2 lb. ribeye steak was charred on the outside, cooked medium rare as I had requested, but it was riddled with gristle and lacked flavor, in addition to the burnt exterior. When we tried to communicate our issues to our server, it took another 20 minutes for him to come over, and our concerns...

The service was noticeably slow, and there was a significant breakdown in communication, resulting in multiple issues with our orders. Our waiter, who had a strong Long Island accent, was not only rude but also quite full of himself. I wish I could rave about the food, but sadly, it didn't live up to expectations. If I were to sum up Burton and Doyle, I'd say it's all style with little substance. Of course, that’s just my perspective.

I hadn't visited the Steakhouse in about two years and returned last night with some guests from out of town. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. It seems that the quality of the Steakhouse has declined compared to the other excellent steakhouses along the five-mile stretch, which has over five steak restaurants. Next time, I'll choose Bryant Cooper's instead.
