It has been a while since we stopped in and the best surprise was that Busaba seems to have improved since our last visit which was good but not stellar. We ordered the lunch combos of Keow Waan with chicken and the Bangkok Panang with chicken. The green curry influence was perfect in the Keow Waan and the Bangkok Panang was phenomenal. I even added a few peppers and it raised the heat to a wonderful level. Also ordered the Thai Iced Tea made from black tea and it added a great taste to the already delicious lunch. A definite come back soon for us.
I took my Mum here for lunch during a family visit to the Kootenays. We had several delicious dishes, fresh Oso Negro coffee, and bubble tea. Everything was delicious! Our server was pleasant and attentive, happily chatting with me while our food was being prepared. We learned that some of the art on the walls are photographs taken by the previous owner, and that the gorgeous ceramic mugs our coffee came in were made by her as well. Busaba is a lovely local spot, and I look forward to visiting again the next time I come to Nelson.
New Owners but same great menu. Fresh home made Thai food exceptional value. Great Ambiance . Thai cashew tofu stir fry with peanut Thai sauce made fresh to order with peppers, onions, cilantro, sprouts, corn, served with steamed rice is My favorite dish. Veggie Spring rolls made fresh with sweet chilli dipping sauce is Amazing. Try the Thai Iced Tea.
Went for dinner here over May Long. The service was great, and the prices were reasonable. We had the sweet corn and shallot fritters for a starter. They were amazing. The Thai green curry and the pork and pineapple stir fry were perfect portion size and very flavourful. We also had Organic BC pear wine! Overall a good experience. I Recommend it. Book a table now
We were impressed by the quality of the food and service at this restaurant, and so were our family members visiting from Calgary. They are big city food enthusiasts and they thought it was one of the best Thai restaurants they had tried. The atmosphere was nice and the service was efficient and friendly. We definitely plan on returning.
My wife and I had a thai lunch at Busaba on July 6, 2017, and absolutely loved it. We had a red curry chicken dish, and pork dish. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. We would strongly recommend this restaurant, and we will return when we are back in Nelson, BC.
I enjoy this spot but had to return a couple of time because it's not always open. the service was nice. Ive been tring to try their mussels but they sell out quickly. So they must be yummy
I have traveled to Asia several times and can say the food at Busaba is authentic. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff are another pleasant surprise for dining in Nelson. Book a table now
