first of all the waitress didn't even speak after she approached our table I had to speak first. I ordered the bagel with scrambled eggs and cheese, and fried potatoes and onions. I was served cold and over cooked potatoes, and a egg and cheese omelet folded over a dry bagel. If I wanted a omelet I would have ordered one.so she took it back .I ordered 12 wings to go instead,got all the way home to find that the wings on top was fresh and hot and the rest was old and dry. I will never be back to this place ever again!!!!!!!
Love this place however for a garden salad with salmon and black beans/wild rice should not take 40 mins. I ordered at 5 pm and the email said it would be ready at 5:20. It’s now 5:40 and I still don’t have food. At 5:35 I asked the young lady was my food finished she said yes it was being bagged. That was 5 mins ago. If take out takes more then 40 mins I may as well sit and grab a drink. A little frustrating when you just want to get home and eat.
I ordered the brisket ground beef patty medium rare with grilled onions and provolone cheese. The burger was well done and burnt and didn't taste like the previous burgers I have had from thus restaurant. There was no grilled onions or provolone cheese. The mistakes makes me wonder I'd the chef can read or took time to read the order.Iam suppose to get a refund in 5-7 days . Hopefully I will. I will not be ordering from them again.
I got their vegan scramble and it wasn’t good, it was drenched with spinach and had no tofu. Like are their actual chefs back there or is it just preheated food? So not happy with my orders and I went to two different locations because that’s my favorite dish when I’m fasting. I’m from out town and I just wasn’t impressed.

My daughter and I went here for karaoke night and enjoyed ourselves. The DJ was great and the performers and crowd were lively. It was a friendly, community atmosphere. I enjoy the decor and the paintings books for sale. The restaurant is set in a African American historical section of town. This place is a gem!
We placed our order. It was a long wait and when they brought the food out we were missing an item so they rushed it and we got it pretty quickly but for the inconvenience he should have not charged us for it. Other than that the food was great especially the spicy fried shrimp in a sweet glaze sauce.
I really enjoyed my experience at Busboys and Poets, the environment is very well maintained and spacious. I love how they have art posted a book area. The staff are very attentive and helpful, not to mention the food is delicious. I like it. Definitely gonna return
