Walking in I had high hopes for Butcher Bar. The red Sangria was amazing, queso was pretty good as well. The problem started when our main didn't arrive 30 minutes after finishing our queso and the waitress came over and asked us how are meals were. Are you kidding me? We watched her walk over to the manager after watching her look at our ticket and entering it into the system. It was clear she forgot to even place our main with the kitchen. The ambiance is what you want in a legit bbq restaurant dimly lit, clean tables with sauces readily available, and the slight smell of smoke in the air. Service was quick and friendly Irene was such a sweetie. Even though I was there to take out food, she kindly offered a table as I waited for the sandwiches and brought over water not used to this kind of service in NYC. I have dined at the Butcher stand at the LIC flea multiple times and finally had the chance to visit their restaurant in Astoria. The restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere and was very cozy. We ordered the burnt ends sandwich and the Monster (a combination of pulled pork and brisket), both of which were delicious. They were served with pickles, cole slaw, and cornbread (which was excellent!). We also had mac and cheese as a side, which was tasty but could have been a bit warmer. This restaurant not only serves meat dishes but also has a diverse menu. During our lunch visit, it was relatively peaceful, but I assume it becomes more bustling during the evening hours. The food we ordered was decent, although I would have preferred my burger cooked rare, but they only offer it medium. We did not try anything from the main menu, but it seems to have intriguing options worth trying.

Inspired by the nice decor that reminds us a typical Texan bbq spot,we decided to try this restaurant. The service was ok but unfortunately the food was bad , The quality of the ingredients was very poor and they also messed up with the French fries (one of the easiest thing to prepare); too much salt that made them inedible!
This place accommodates for people that both want bbq and a variety of different meat. Lots of mixing and matching, also burnt ends are a must. The fact that you can order them as an appetizer and not part of a dish is game changing. Also a hidden gem was the brussel sprouts that are cooked with bacon, huge pack of flavor.

Had the pulled pork sandwich and burnt ends but both were a bit on the dry side. The Mac and cheese was very gooey and the pasta was cooked well. Their portions are on the smaller side and the meat lacked smoke flavor. The brisket was average.

I ordered here for Uber eats and the quality of my brisket was not up to par. The meat was okay but not seasoned. The sandwich comes with brisket and sauce but no pickles. I didn't feel satisfied with the price vs quality of my meal.
