a few days ago, since I and my friend got a student discount. first opinions, once I went, was how attentive and friendly our server was. they really seem to care for customer service, so I don't know why there are many reviews on the contrary. we ordered immediately and food came quite fast, which was good. the food was breathtaking. my God the burger was beautiful the onion rings even more. I could eat these onion rings in buckets that were so good. the drinks were quite expensive to be honest as I don't want to pay £2.30 for water. but I feel that Byron brings a beautiful aura to cambridge and I would be happy back hundreds of times and is recommended to friends and family.
Nice burger place. This was a work lunch so I didn't have to foot the bill, which makes everything better. I'd say its on-par with pretty much all the other burger chains except one. Better than Five Guys, same as Proper Burger. Good service and nice clean restaurant. The toilets are right at the other end of the restaurant and do look a tiny bit dated. Good experience overall, will definitely head back at some point in the future.
Last day of our holidays and first time here, we would highly recommend The Byron. Our waiter Mario was superb, the food (we had the C-Rex and B-Rex with onion rings and cheese chips) was out of this world! And very reasonably price, we will be returning with friends/family!
The meat was cooked to medium as asked for and was super juicy. The sweet potato fries were well cooked and salted, and their was variation for choice of dips. Managed to get the 30% student discount too. But the halloumi was kind of average.

Really good burgers, maybe the best burger I had this year. Fries were beautiful too. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back when you visit Cambridge.
As an American, when I think of a "proper hamburger" I imagine a delicious patty with a nice, pink middle, known as medium rare.
