We had prebooked a table and arrived before the restaurant got busy . It took a long time to place our order whilst the food drinks came quickly the plates did not which was a shame as for a starter we had ordered...the Tapas plate for 2 the Fruits de Mer for 2 so fairly obvious that 4 of us would need side plates We ordered a second Tapas plate , staff walked past with empty hands never thinking to take the empty platters back to the kitchen. The Tapas plate never arrived we had empty glasses were keen to order more drinks and food but were consistently ignored . Then the rain came the staff were running round like headless chickens we cut and run , well after a long wait at the counter to...

We were really looking for another restaurant, but couldn't find it so not an auspicious start. So we sat down for lunch. The cabin has views over a short canal with oyster shacks on both sides, and was a beautiful spot to dine. We had...the menu de jour with a glass of good French white wine by the glass with a creamy remoulade, for starter so far so ok. The main course was beautifully cooked fish (Lotte) on a bed of green beans, and was excellent. Desert was a very tasty raspberry coolie on top of a mousse. Price was very reasonable. It's always good to find places that offer up a memorable dining experience with superb ambience and views that actually still try when it comes to the food....

we had oysters and tapas to start in this open side cabin with view of the ternhafen of ares. the oysters were so fresh that you could observe them as they are loaded from net pockets on a conveyor belt and washed for the restaurant. the oyster gratin saw...the chipirons were small cut in garlic and petersilie fried and were fantastic. the beginning of the day was seabrassen, dorrade. good selection of puddings and drinks for the non-winners. the hot tapas contain baked camembert, baked tinted fish, twill rings and some fish cake. a good meal in an interesting environment.

We had oysters and tapas to start in this open sided cabin overlooking the oyster port of Ares. The oysters were so fresh you could watch them being loaded from net bags onto a conveyor belt and washed for the restaurant. The oysters gratin looked...good. The chipirons were small squid fried in garlic and parsley and were fantastic. Catch of the day was sea bream , dorade. Good choice of puddings and drinks for the non wine drinkers. The hot tapas included breaded Camembert, breaded squid, onion rings and some fish cakes. A good meal in interesting surroundings. Book a table now

Lovely table overlooking the port and very friendly although busy waiters and waitresses. We had the 10 euro tapas to start, which was easily enough as a starter for the two of us, and was full of delicious bites. Then my wife had the Scallops...with risotto, and I had the Prawns with penne in a creamy garlicky sauce. Both were very good value and we followed with the cafe gourmand a selection of desserts which didn't disappoint. Amazing value for 80 euros including wine, bread and water. We will definitely be back.

Nice staff. Let us sit with our dogs even though they were not open yet. Wanted to go to the restaurant next door but they were too rude. Very nice surprise. Best fish I have had in a long time. Vegetables and seasoning were very...good and I will definitely come back next time I am in the area.
