Wow! What a treat it was to dine here during our Anniversary trip to Fredericksburg. The service was excellent and the food and wine was among the best we've had anywhere in the world this is a seriously great place! Geoff, our server, was very knowledgeable about their extensive Texas wine list and also very helpful in selecting from the menu when everything sounded delicious. We decided to order several things to share: starting with the Magic Mushroom, then a Wedge Salad, mains of the Filet with side of Wasabi Steak Sauce, and the Grilled Shrimp, a side of Street Corn, and finishing up with a Pecan Pie Crème Brûlée all washed down with some Pellegrino and a lovely bottle of the Hilmy Rese...

The Cabernet Grill is highly over rated. The food is fair at best and so so so so so expensive. the Texas wine list is large and again very expensive. I really would just go anywhere else. It is not worth the money. I had a filet that was 59.00. It came with a few vegetables on the side. My salad was an extra $10. It was so saturated with dressing that it was just not very good. All in all a fair experience. In a small town like this one you should not be charging Napa prices. Good grief our bills was $200 for 2 steaks and 2 salads. We did not order any wine because we had been drinking during the day. The service is meh. The waiter was nice enough but no recommendations, he did his job. Not...

The food was fair. I was told that the experience would be really good. I was looking for a better flavor considering the portion size and price. The atmosphere was decent. The waiter was knowledgeable but according to him everything was Devine. I would have to disagree. Afterwords I was discussing the meal with my guests and one of them along with myself had a terrible stomach ache. I don't know if it came from the chefs sample they gave us if the soup in the beginning or one of the appetizers. Unfortunately I won't be back.

Meh. This place was SO hyped. Won 't be going back. There is no bar for a pre-dinner drink (lame!! . The ambiance was lame. Trying to be a wine country vibe, but not so much. Our service was unfriendly. We heard they were so great, but it must have been an off night ?? 2 people ordered filets which were seriously undercooked. Had to be sent back. My ribeye was good, but not great. New York strip was good (per the guy who got it . Good cream brûlée and good brownie dessert. Cocktails were good.
