I have been visiting this place for years time to time. There is no question about the quality and autencity of the food here (my favorite is the Shrimp Fajitas). The downside for me is that the place more and more becomeing a bar instead of a traditional Mexican restaurant. The music is very loud (some kind of Latin American Rock and Roll) makes it very hard to have a conversation with your table partners. The after pandemic crew is very friendly, but obviously in lack of experience (they will get better as times go by, I have no doubt about it. I also appreciate the tap beers.
Food was good. Service was friendly. Felt like they were under staffed. A/c needs to be turned on. Shrimp ranchero smelled a little fishy but it was good. Steak fajitas delicious. Mole enchiladas yummy. I had a pomegranate margarita and a frozen mango margarita. Both good but couldn't taste the flavor. Lots of alcohol. They had karaoke when we went. Seems like they get a lot of regulars. So much fun watching people sing off key, but hey.... I don't have the balls to do it so good for them. Great atmosphere.
Unfortunately we went to Cabrera's on Karoke night. YOUR WEBSITE should have told me when I was confirmed I would have never gone on a Saturday Night. Trying to eat diner while loud music blared all over the place was the worst experience EVER. I never want to return. There was no where in the restaurant to be seated where you weren't away from the extremely loud music with BAD singers. Nothing special about the food, expect prices were too high for simple Mexican food.
We are regulars there. We always have a wonderful time, and always leave happy. Isabel and Jaime (Bartenders) are the BEST!!!!! Always professional, very friendly, and treat all of us (our company) with the utmost respect and care. They're amazing!!!!!! We would like to thank them for taking care of us. I have to say, the bartender went above and beyond to give me a very positive Happy Hour experience. Nothing is posted and there aren't any Happy Hour menus. But there a few decent things deals. Im not sure I'd recommend Cabrerera's other than for Hapoy Hour. They do have ample parking and outdoor seating. And the service was solid. Therefore
Food was good and service was very good, but the karaoke was loud and the customers singing (at least the night I was there) had no business being near microphones. I think a warning in the listing is in order for places with karaoke.
Is a good spot for friends to gather. They seemed to be short staffed so service seemed rushed. The best part was the kareoke time
We have been here many times and this time was extraordinary, in spite of it being very busy with Valentine's parties in and out.
