We turned up 1 3/4 hours before breakfast was due to close. There was no juice whatsoever. We had to ask and then they only put a little in. Within 5 minutes it was empty again and not refilled while we were there. We also had to ask for yoghurt as this was empty, and on observing other people, they were doing the same. The bread virtually ran out, so little toast available. I normally don’t write negative reviews, but this place inspired me to do so. Very very disappointing. A motel in remote Hyden provided a far superior service and range of food at a cheaper rate.
The restaurant is located inside the Quality Hotel Ambassador Perth. During my stay at the Hotel I had one dinner and two continental breakfasts, and I found the food was fresh and tasty. The dinner menu although limited had something for everyone. The continental Breakfast had a wide selection of cold hot foods, etc. My only issue was that the dining area was too hot and a little stuffy, they need to turn on or turn up the air conditioning.
I was thrilled to hear that Cafe 196 had reopened for breakfast when I arrived, meaning there was no need to walk over to Adelaide's. The staff were friendly and the chef cooked up a delicious buffet-style breakfast. There was a good variety of hot dishes, juices, and more, and we left satisfied on both visits.
I ordered salmon, which was delicious. My husband ordered Porterhouse steak with 'creamy mashed potato ', which tasted like the dried stuff you add water to and his steak looked anaemic but he said it tasted good. $33 for steak, mash but no veggies!

Good menu selection food qualityvery good. Presented well and staff on the ball. A pleasant suprise! Recommend you try the mushroom soup with fresh made pizza to follow.
The restaurant was very good and the food was better. The manager and staff were very helpful. There was a buffet breakfast each morning with plenty of choice
During my hotel stay, I dined at the restaurant multiple times and found the food to be consistently delicious. My partner also enjoyed their meals.
We eat at the hotel twice in the evenings . It was where we were staying and as good as anything nearby.

Stayed here for work and rooms have been refurbished and are small but very nice.
The coffee here is excellent and the service is top-notch.
