I don't like when you have to take staff's word on what is vegan... there is no accountability. And restaurants that stand by their vegan food can just as well declare it. Nothing is declared vegan here. With these qualifiers: According to staff, all the vegetarian dishes are vegan. But be sure to confirm... some of them mention raita, which normally is dairy yoghurt. The meal was good. Very small quantities for an exorbitant price! The boss refused to serve a glass of tap water to a 6 year old child for a table bill of 170. beer, water, wine and meals. It is unacceptable. The prices are exaggerated. The only pleasant people were the waitresses. I won't go back there.
Samawat offers tasty and copious Indian meals. There's always a vegetarian choice on their lunch menu that can be easily made vegan and there's a couple of permanent delicious vegan meals (daal, curry, samosa, soup). The location is nice and if you order to go, bring your own container to limit waste.
I took my dog with me and that wasn't a problem for the hosts. They were all very friendly. The food was ready quickly and extremely tasty. I think price performance is very good. I will gladly come again :
