Went to Cafe Charbon at 8.00 pm on a Sunday night and was shown to a table. Another staff member then immediately came up saying many of the menu items were not available and implied the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. He said he didn't speak much English (which is ok because we don't speak much French) but became agitated when we pointed to items on the menu and couldn't understand his questions. It appeared that he was trying to pressure us to leave as staff wanted to go home. We ordered drinks and he made out he had no idea what we were talking about but came back with the correct drinks. Well run central village restaurant and adjacent bar offering good basic traditional meals either al la carte or a formule of two courses from 16 euros. This offers good value local dishes in the style of previous routers served by cheerful staff .I have eaten there many times and never dissappointed.
When I went into this restaurant I was well received but the problem is that I have a steak with fries which is simple and yet I asked for a blue steak it I was getting back to point and more but fries were not cooked so really for a fried steak.

a place found by chance, and this one did well. the dishes are copyy and good the formula to 16 euros very practical, which makes a ratio quality price unique to the cross valmer. nice service, and nice even our terrier bubble enjoyed.
