This was a first visit for all four of us, and we were not disappointed. A little difficult to find at first as no name is visible from the outside, future visitors are advised to look out for a front extension newly painted dark reddish orange, against a classical stone building, almost opposite the station. At lunchtime on a Saturday, this bustling restaurant was full of locals - a mix of families and workers, including a group of firemen who didn't turn a hair when the rest of their colleagues rushed past in a fire truck with lights and siren blaring. Our neighbours clearly had their priorities right - lunch! The staff were friendly and efficient, taking our orders quickly. The extensive me...

This really is a great restaurant! Don't be fooled or put off by the location (opposite the small rail station) or by the exterior - the food, wines, service and atmosphere in this place are amazing. We were recommended by the Chateau we were staying at in a village about 10 kms away and were so impressed we went back every night for 10 days. The menu can be a bit slow to change but they always have a fresh fish dish and local specialities. And for vegetarians they go out of their way to help to create some really tasty options. The owner has his own vineyard in a neighbouring area and whilst his wines do feature so do a host of other local vineyards, all laid out in priced rows for you to s...
We visited for dinner at the recommendation of our hotel. As noted by others the location is at the corner of an intersection of this small town. It was a pleasant late summer evening conducive to eating outside. Being off season, we were surrounded by locals, so we knew we had chosen a good place to eat. The staff was helpful in translating the menu and the dinners were very good. If you are looking for a local “pub” like restaurant, this is a good choice.
We came to our hotel too late to eat there and they sent us to this restaurant. What a favor do they have? It started bad when the restaurant wanted proof of Kovid inoculation, understandable but I had problems with my phone. They were patient, served a glass of champagne when I worked on it and arrived there! The bruschetta was amazing, adapted to vegan, but still so good. My lamb amazing and the wines? I thought I had gone to heaven. Get back! Book a table now
We loved this place. It was recommended and not disappointed. We went on Wednesday night and it was full. It has different set menus that can be exchanged. I had filled the salmon star with the butcher's choice. the day that was... lonely heaven. It came with a Bordelaise sauce. The staff was very attentive and very friendly. A must.
The food was excellent, freshly made and very tasty. Although the restaurant was full the service was excellent. The waiters were rushed off their feet but manged to stay polite and serve with a smile, despite it being really hot. The ambiance was lovely and we sat outside and enjoyed a lovely evening of talking and eating.
We visited with our two young girls for a late Sunday evening dinner and opres to sit on the patio. The service was great and friendly and all our dishes were very flavorful and well prepared. A unique feature is the ability to select a glass of wine from a large assortment of bottles from the wine rack inside.
We were a party of 4 which included 2 vegetarians - The chef "russelled" up 2 fabulous veggie meals and we had the plate de jour. Every meal was brilliant - we would definitely go back there again. Plus the wine selection includes some great local wines. Book a table now
My husband and I ate here on Sunday night, as it was one of the few places open and our hotel recommended it. It's a casual place, but the food and service was great!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal here. The food and service were first class and the atmosphere humming. Definitely a good choice!
