Chanced upon this place and how happy we were that we did..We arrived not long before closing on Sunday afternoon, and were told it was no problem if we wanted to eat, and sat down to one of the best.. no, THE BEST burger and frites ever!!!!I really wanted one of their desserts.. a knickerbockerglory looking kind of affair - they looked amazing, but I was too full up from the burger!! The "plat du jour" menu is great value for money and it always seems to be packed with locals during lunchtime. Service can therefore be a bit slow, but the food makes up for it. Nothing extravagant, but honest, home-style cooking. The entrecote steaks are definitely making a statement though! Little English spoken, but staff are quite patient with broken French...
We have been coming to this restaurant for over five years and have never been disappointed. The food has always been fresh and well presented and the daily menu: starter, main course, cheese, dessert, coffee and a glass of wine for €13.50 is great value - best to book on market days (Thursday).
This local café serves a very nice daily menu. In the summer and on Market Day (Thursday) it's also a great place to sit out on the terrace and watch the world go by with a beer or ice-cream. It's not average, that's unfair - it's a reliable good local café. Book a table now
Adorée, the patronne is super, very well eaten I recommend, a family atmosphere, warm atmosphere and great mother dishes well simmered!!!
