We sat outside at this small French restaurant. There is of course dining inside in this cozy place. It is located on the Central Market square. Being a Saturday we could enjoy the hustle and bustle of the shoppers while sitting amongst locals who had finished shopping. When we were finishing our lunchtime meal the vendors were loading their vans and heading back to the countryside. The posted photo shows the offerings for the day. I had a chicken over pesto pasta. Delicious, with fish and pork also on the “board” in French. The waitress was friendly with plenty of English to make meal fun.
It was a cold day when we stumbled across this wonderful gem, which was warm, welcoming and wonderful. The menu was very varied, extremely reasonable, but best of all delicious. I had duck parmentier, like a cottage pie but so much better. The desserts were delicious. So if you need sustenance, this is the place to go as the couple who own it want you to be fed well and leave happy.
Strongly recommend this restaurant. Excellent food with fresh ingredients and very pleasant atmosphere. Great for a relaxing lunch. You may need to book as it is very popular with local inhabitants as well as tourists. I particularly recommend the fish!
