Loved it here! Visited at 7am and there was already a jazz band out the front playing some great music. The coffee was a mix of coffee and chicory and is definitely worth a try. Beignets are pretty much fancy powdered donuts but still worth trying. They are served nice and hot. Come early for less of a wait.
A must, first stop we made when we arrived in New Orleans. Tried many other beignets over the weekend but none compared to the originals, and the cafe au laite was the perfect accompaniment.
Great place for café du leche and powdered sugar covered beniets. One of the Icons of downtown New Orleans.
