Eher in der Altstadt von Schmalkalden zufällig vorbeigekommen, blieben wir bei dem unglaublich leckeren Kuchenangebot "hängen". Eine für Bäckereien/Konditoreien unerwartet freundliche und kompetente Beratung und exzellenter Service machten diesen (leider doch nicht ganz kalorienfreien) Besuch zu einem Erlebnis, das man nur wärmstens empfehlen kann.
Had lunch here and was not disappointed by the burger I ordered. Basic value for food and drink with a beautiful ambience on Lutherplatz opposite Luther's residence. Beautiful seats outside, but for non-smokers you will quickly leave it for the smoke free inside....Worthwhile looking in this city.
Staying at a local hotel we walked into the town it was Sunday and not many places were open the Stadtcafe was a welcome sight we had cakes ice cream and tea very nice outside seating friendly staff lovely location well worth a visit.

Trevligt café med hjälpsam personal. Vi beställde apfelstrudel och munk med plommonsylt. Kaffet var väl inte det bästa men tyskarna är inge vidare på det .
